Ethereum remains under pressure near $2.3K after its latest recovery failed to reverse the broader downtrend. With the ascending daily channel already lost, attention is shifting toward nearby demand and the liquidation concentrations beneath the market.
Ethereum Price Analysis: The Daily Chart
The daily chart shows a clear deterioration in Ethereum’s structure following the breakdown below the ascending channel. A subsequent rebound into the $2.44K–$2.52K supply zone was rejected, reinforcing the bearish significance of the broken channel boundary. Since then, ETH has continued to form lower highs and lower lows.
The latest decline produced a sharp wick toward $2.17K, followed by a modest recovery that has struggled to hold above $2.26K. This suggests that buyers are defending the recent lows, but their response has yet to establish a meaningful reversal. The $2.17K–$2.22K region is now an important near-term support area. A sustained break beneath it would expose the psychological $2K level, followed by the broader daily demand zone at approximately $1.82K–$1.98K.
For buyers to improve the outlook, ETH first needs to recover the $2.31K–$2.36K region, where several recent candles consolidated before the latest selloff. However, the more significant barrier remains the $2.44K–$2.52K supply zone. Until that area is reclaimed, recoveries remain vulnerable to renewed selling.
ETH/USDT 4-Hour Chart
On the four-hour timeframe, Ethereum continues to trade within a descending channel. The recent selloff reached the $2.17K–$2.22K demand zone near the channel’s lower boundary, triggering a rebound toward $2.31K. That recovery was subsequently rejected, leaving the price back around $2.25K.
The failure to sustain the bounce preserves the sequence of lower highs and suggests that sellers remain in control of the short-term structure. Another test of the $2.17K–$2.22K support zone appears plausible if ETH cannot regain the $2.30K–$2.31K area. Repeated pressure on this demand zone could increase the risk of a breakdown, although the recent rejection wick shows that buying interest is still present.
Alternatively, a sustained recovery above $2.31K would bring the descending channel’s upper boundary, currently around $2.35K–$2.38K, into focus. Breaking that trendline would weaken the immediate bearish setup and could allow a broader recovery toward the $2.44K–$2.52K supply zone.
Sentiment Analysis
The Binance ETH/USDT liquidation heatmap highlights estimated liquidation concentrations below the current price. A nearby band sits around $2.15K–$2.20K, broadly overlapping the support region identified on the price charts. A larger, brighter concentration is visible around $2K–$2.05K.
This positioning makes the area just above $2K particularly relevant if Ethereum loses its recent lows. A move into these levels could trigger long liquidations and amplify downside volatility. However, the heatmap identifies potential liquidation exposure rather than guaranteed price targets or confirmed buying support.
Above the market, substantial concentrations remain around $2.8K–$3K, but these are distant from the current structure. For now, the nearby downside clusters and repeated failed recoveries keep the focus on support. A recovery above the four-hour descending channel would be the first technical development to ease that pressure.
