Ripple (XRP) ETFs Beat Every Major Rival in October: But Two Problems Remain

In a rather bearish environment for most exchange-traded funds tracking the largest cryptocurrencies, the funds behind XRP managed to maintain their green monthly streak.

However, there are still two issues that deserve attention, as it’s not all good news.

XRP ETFs Still in the Green

The spot Bitcoin ETFs saw some major inflow days in October, but the end of the month turned the tables. The Binance hack appears to be the major catalyst that drove investors away, and the month ended with over $500 million in net outflows. The landscape around the Ethereum ETFs was even more painful, as the funds saw their largest monthly outflows ever, with more than $1.6 billion leaving.

In contrast, the spot XRP ETFs ended last week with $4.32 million in net inflows, building on the previous week’s $4.25 million. This managed to offset the minor losses registered in the middle of the month, and the financial vehicles closed October with $18.83 million in net inflows.

This meant that the cumulative total net inflows saw another all-time high in October at $1.81 billion. Even better, this was the seventh consecutive month the XRP ETFs were in the green. In fact, they have been in the red only once in their one-year existence — in March 2026.

Bitwise’s XRP remains the undisputed leader with $682 million in cumulative flows, followed by Franklin’s XRPZ with $524 million, and Canary Capital’s XRPC with $485 million.

The ETF performance builds on Ripple’s highly impressive month, in which it announced major regulatory approvals, as well as new partnerships and developments.

2 Elephants in the Room

The first major issue comes from the data above. Although the ETFs were indeed in the green once again monthly, this was actually their second-worst performance. The $18.83 million attracted in October is only slightly higher than the $15.59 million gained in January.

The second is perhaps the most painful one for the XRP Army. Despite the consecutive green months and Ripple’s major accolades on different fronts, the underlying asset has failed to capitalize. The asset was rejected at $1.50 earlier this month and tumbled below $1.20 after the Binance hack on Friday.

Despite rebounding slightly to roughly $1.25 as the month ended, it still closed October with a substantial loss of 16%. This made it the poorest monthly performance since June and broke the three-month streak from July, August, and September.
