The statement from both parties indicated<\/a> that the new smart contract adds an additional stablecoin off-ramp for BUILD and VBILL tokenized short-term treasury funds. Both funds from the TradFi giants are their first tokenized products on public blockchains.<\/p>\n Ripple said the new smart contract allows holders of BUIDL and VBILL to instantly exchange their shares for its native stablecoin (RLUSD) 24\/7, which could unlock additional stable, on-chain transfers. In other words, investors can “gain continuous exposure to RLUSD while preserving exposure to on-chain yield and a broader range of DeFi strategies, further driving utility, flexibility, and interoperability for tokenized assets.”<\/p>\n \u201cRLUSD is for institutional use, offering regulatory clarity, stability, and real utility. As adoption grows, partnerships with trusted platforms like Securitize are key to unlocking new liquidity and enterprise-grade use cases,\u201d commented Ripple’s SVP of Stablecoins, Jack McDonald.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n This is the first official integration of Ripple’s stablecoin into Securitize’s platform, but both parties said they plan future collaborations. Securitize also plans to integrate with the XRP Ledger to expand access and bring new utility to its broader ecosystem.<\/p>\n Ali Martinez noted that XRP whales have been busy in the past five days, coinciding with the aforementioned statement, acquiring more than 470 million tokens (valued at over $720 million) within this timeframe.
