Parents or guardians can <a href=\"https:\/\/investamerica.org\/dell\/\" target=\"_blank\">check eligibility<\/a> for the grant through Invest America, a nonprofit advocacy group partnered with the Dells, and track account activity with the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2026\/05\/28\/trump-accounts-app-launches-heres-how-to-get-started.html\">Trump Accounts app<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m very proud to say that, as of this morning, the first funds are already moving to activated accounts for children here in the great state of Texas, with children across the country to follow soon,&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/michael-dell\/\">Michael Dell<\/a>, the CEO of Dell Technologies, said Monday at an event in Austin with Sen.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/ted-cruz\/\">Ted Cruz<\/a>, R-Texas.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"Placeholder-ArticleBody-Video-108330843\">\n<div role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" id=\"Placeholder-ArticleBody-Video-108330843\" class=\"PlaceHolder-wrapper\" data-vilynx-id=\"7000417871\" data-test=\"VideoPlaceHolder\">\n<div class=\"InlineVideo-videoEmbed\" id=\"InlineVideo-0\" data-test=\"InlineVideo\">\n<div class=\"InlineVideo-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"InlineVideo-inlineThumbnailContainer\"><span class=\"InlineVideo-videoButton\"\/><span\/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"group\">\n<p>Trump Accounts, also known as 530A accounts, are open to any U.S. child under 18 with a Social Security number.<\/p>\n<p>Children born from 2025 through 2028 can receive a one-time\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2026\/06\/27\/trump-accounts-seed-ok.html\">$1,000 deposit<\/a>\u00a0from the\u00a0U.S. Department of the Treasury as part of a pilot program designed to jump-start long-term savings.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Dell and his wife, Susan, committed\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/12\/02\/michael-susan-dell-trump-accounts.html\">$6.25 billion<\/a>\u00a0to provide additional funds for children born between 2016 and 2024 who don&#8217;t qualify for the federal seed money. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"group\">\n<div class=\"RelatedContent-relatedContent\" id=\"RegularArticle-RelatedContent-1\">\n<div class=\"RelatedContent-container\">\n<div class=\"RelatedContent-nonCollapsibleContent\">\n<h2 id=\"read-more-cnbc-personal-finance-coverage\" class=\"RelatedContent-header\">Read more CNBC personal finance coverage<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"group\">\n<p>The Dell grant is aimed toward\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspeninstitute.org\/blog-posts\/trump-accounts-are-here-now-lets-make-them-work\/\" target=\"_blank\">lower-income children<\/a>.
