After plunging to a local low of $1.30 just several days ago, the popular cross-border token has reemerged with a notable recovery attempt that pushed it to a 25-day peak at just over $1.46 earlier today.<\/p>\n
There seem to be several reasons behind this impressive revival, one of which is linked to the performance of the XRP ETFs.<\/p>\n
Perhaps the biggest reason behind XRP\u2019s increase, as well as the broader market\u2019s recovery over the past 10 days, is linked to the ceasefire between the US and Iran announced last Tuesday. Most assets reacted with immediate price jumps, and less uncertainty is typically more beneficial to risk-on options such as XRP.<\/p>\n
Although there\u2019s no permanent peace deal reached yet<\/a>, both sides are expected to continue the peace talks. Moreover, US President Donald Trump also announced<\/a> a ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel and hinted that his country and Iran are \u2018very close\u2019 to a deal.<\/p>\n The war in Iran has been the main driver of market moves since it broke out on February 28, and a more permanent solution could reignite a broader market-wide rally if it occurs soon.<\/p>\n Perhaps due to the uncertainty prompted by the war, investors gaining exposure to XRP through the ETFs started to withdraw funds<\/a> from the products in March or, at best, showed little to no interest for many days.<\/p>\n However, this trend changed at the end of the previous week \u2013 shortly after the Iran\/US ceasefire went into effect \u2013 and investors returned<\/a> to the ETF table. Data from SoSoValue shows that the financial vehicles are on a five-day green streak \u2013 the best in a month and a half \u2013 in which they have attracted over $50 million in net inflows.<\/p>\n This evident change in their behavior is the second probable reason behind the asset\u2019s recovery.<\/p>\n Popular analyst CW noted earlier today that there\u2019s almost no selling pressure from a large number of short positions on XRP. Moreover, they added that the number of high-leverage longs is not significant either, which the analyst classified as a \u201cvery ideal situation.\u201d<\/p>\n They explained that investors using excessive leverage for potential moves in either direction have \u201clost their greed,\u201d which could be beneficial for the asset\u2019s recovery attempts.<\/p>\n There are no high-leverage short positions on $XRP<\/a>.<\/p>\n Furthermore, the size of high-leverage long positions is not large either.<\/p>\n This is a very ideal situation. Earlier today, they added<\/a> that the cross-border token had \u201cclosed bullish\u201d against BTC and predicted \u201cfurther upside\u201d in this pair.<\/p>\n CW believes<\/a> XRP\u2019s upward momentum is \u201cbeing maintained,\u201d as Open Interest is increasing further, but short selling in futures, as mentioned above, is minimal.
