{"id":32744,"date":"2025-06-27T19:15:28","date_gmt":"2025-06-27T19:15:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/financialrush.com\/?p=32744"},"modified":"2025-06-27T19:15:28","modified_gmt":"2025-06-27T19:15:28","slug":"donald-trump-says-us-would-absolutely-bomb-iran-again-to-stop-enrichment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/financialrush.com\/?p=32744","title":{"rendered":"Donald Trump says US would \u2018absolutely\u2019 bomb Iran again to stop enrichment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> \n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Unlock the White House Watch newsletter for free<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__content-sign-up-topic-description o3-type-body-base\">Your guide to what Trump\u2019s second term means for Washington, business and the world<\/p>\n<p><iframe class=\"article__content-sign-up-iframe close\" scrolling=\"no\" id=\"signUpIframe\" data-prev-url=\"\/register\/in-article-sign-up?ft-content-uuid=e57883dc-a15a-49b0-9559-ac13d2e9868c&amp;newsletter-id=65b8fec772badb00166eafc6\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<div id=\"article-body\">\n<p>Donald Trump would \u201cabsolutely\u201d consider a new military strike on Iran\u2019s nuclear facilities, he said on Friday, as he lashed out at Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. <\/p>\n<p>The president\u2019s comments came at a White House press conference just six days after the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/cc5f3407-22ef-4fd4-9825-7810bcea3c5e\" data-trackable=\"link\">US bombed Iranian nuclear sites<\/a> in a mission Trump said had \u201cobliterated\u201d the country\u2019s atomic weapons programme.<\/p>\n<p>Asked in the White House if he would consider a new attack on Iran\u2019s nuclear sites if intelligence concluded that Tehran was able to keep enriching uranium to levels that concerned the US, Trump responded: \u201cSure, without question, absolutely.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>He was speaking after intelligence reports suggested the American attack on the Natanz, Isfahan and Fordow nuclear sites <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/023cc08d-738f-4bf6-809f-05efda45f5bd\" data-trackable=\"link\">called into question<\/a> his claim that the bombardment had destroyed the facilities. <\/p>\n<p>Trump also attacked Khamenei, Iran\u2019s supreme leader, in a lengthy post on social media, saying he had \u201cso blatantly and foolishly\u201d claimed victory in the \u201cwar with Israel\u201d. <\/p>\n<p>Khamenei <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/586b9d1d-0bb1-470a-94a7-1b6f389456cd\" data-trackable=\"link\">said on Thursday<\/a> that the US strikes on Iran\u2019s nuclear sites \u201cdid not achieve anything\u201d, adding to conflicting assessments of the damage from the American bombing raid last week.<\/p>\n<p>The back-and-forth also comes just days after Iran launched missiles at a US military base in Qatar in what Trump said was a \u201cvery weak response\u201d to \u201cthe obliteration of their nuclear sites\u201d. <\/p>\n<p>Trump had \u201cexaggerated because he needed to\u201d, Khamenei said. \u201cAnyone who heard his remarks could tell there was a different reality behind his words \u2014 they could do nothing,\u201d the supreme leader said in his first public comments since a ceasefire with Israel took hold this week.<\/p>\n<p>Trump also said that had stopped Israel, or the US military, from assassinating the 86-year-old Iranian leader. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI SAVED HIM FROM A VERY UGLY AND IGNOMINIOUS DEATH,\u201d Trump said of the Iranian leader. \u201cI wish the leadership of Iran would realize that you often get more with HONEY than you do with VINEGAR.
