Intel chief executive Pat Gelsinger is to retire after almost four years at the helm of the processor company.
The group said on Monday that he would be replaced by David Zinsner and Michelle Johnston Holthaus, who will be interim chiefs until a permanent appointment is made.
Interim Intel chair Frank Yeary said: “Pat spent his formative years at Intel, then returned at a critical time for the company in 2021. As a leader, Pat helped launch and revitalise process manufacturing by investing in state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing, while working tirelessly to drive innovation throughout the company.”
